Edward Gorey House

We made a trip down to Cape Cod this July and discovered an amazing place… the Edward Gorey House Museum! Edward Gorey’s home in Cape Cod was turned into a museum after his death. It is filled with all sorts of art work and Gorey-memorabilia!

Ben writes and illustrates picture books! He HATES getting his photo taken. BUT, people want to see the man behind the illustrations. So ha! I get photos, publishers get his photo. Win+Win!

First Year of Teaching

These doodles are my life right now. My crazy busy wonderful life filled with 19 curious students (and grad school too). Second grade was a blast! So much fun that we’ve decided to spend third grade together too. Haha… well, that was more of a school decision but I am thrilled. I am constantly amazed by these kids. I am challenged on a daily basis. I am exhausted. I never knew I could love nineteen children so deeply. Teaching really is a rewarding profession and I cannot believe how much these kids have grown this year! Physically. Emotionally. Academically. Me too. They teach me how to be a better person on a daily basis.

P.S. Aren’t these doodles the cutest drawings?!
